Its never fun to get a phone call about something your kids have done that was not wonderful. However, its wonderful to get a phone call from some one telling you what sweet girl, your daughter was/is/can be. That was the case yesterday. It was late last night, well not really late, when the Primary President called me to tell me something really sweet that Leah did.
Leah was sitting in her row at Primary, when Sarah, a little girl who has Downs, was being her spunky self and wanting to talk on the primary pulpit. When Leah saw this she called Sarah over and patted the chair next to her. Sarah was so happy to see that Leah wanted her to sit by her that she quickly went and sat by Leah and put her head (Sarah's head) on her shoulder (Leah's shoulder). The teacher wasn't there yet and it was very sweet!
I was almost on the verge of tears to hear that story. It really melts my heart to see that some of the things we teach our kids really sticks with them. I have seen Leah be sweet at school, by tying someones shoes or by helping them zip up their jacket. She is so sweet, especially when she wants to be. She is my trial child and I am SO grateful that Rashawn took the time to call me and make my day!
I am sure there are lots of little stories like this at Primary. This is why we must be like the little children! I have a lot to learn from my kids but that is one completely different post.

that is very sweet.
She must be like her mom! Always kind to those who many would normally not be! Great post! Awesome kid!
That's great. She's such a doll. You've taught her well.
That is really sweet! I too love getting "good" news instead of "not so good" news about my children (especially Dylan).
Leah is wonderful!
