82:10

Me (right after giving birth to Milli) and Melissa Nakaya

What can you do in 82 minutes and 10 seconds? I talked to Melissa on the phone, while putting together our Christmas Tree, added three set of WHITE lights, put on four garlands with a baby on my back all while trying to keep Mylo from stepping on the Christmas lights so they wouldn't break.... Those 82+ minutes went by so fast! Thanks Melissa for keeping me company as I made the huge Christmas mess in my house. Can't wait to hang out! I always love laughing with you and all your "naughty" words, hahahaaaa...

Just keeping it short and sweet... hahahaa!

Miss Independent

Milli did this the other day. Its a great milestone and can be very helpful and a huge convenience, but I love cuddling with her even when she is drinking from a bottle. She hasn't done it since. Stinker!

Disney on Ice

My mom, aka Abuela, took Mason and Leah to Disney on Ice last weekend. She took Gabi when she was 6, so now that Mason and Leah are six she took the opportunity and the LOVED it. It was Disney 100 year Celebration, so they got to see all the best characters of the best Disney shows. Plenty of princesses for Leah's liking, and COOL Disney people for Mason. The came come with some lovely Disney trinkets and gifts for the other kids as well. Abuela is the best and the kids love her. The "girls" (Gabi and Leah) are going to have a sleep over at Abuela's house this weekend and it sure to be a good time.

We love Abuela for loving our monkeys unconditionally!

THANKS!!!

Reunited!

After 6+ months my "true" love and I have been reunited. It was a joyous reunion. I got a rush as I opened the can and poured it over a glass full of ice. My mouth watered with the thought of just a sip of this tasty beverage. Oh I missed you! I will try to never leave you again.... hahhaha.

The truth is that I have really missed my diet coke. Because it made Milli throw up when I drank it, I had to stop. This was no easy task, instead I turned to chocolate and loads of cookies and sweets. However, I feel bitter sweet about my "reunion" with diet Coke. This means that I am not really accomplishing my goal of nursing Milli as long as I would have liked. This is the longest I have nursed any of my kids. Milli was simply not getting what she needed from me and I was starving her! I am still nursing her once a day and hope that it gives her some anti-bodies that will help her stay a bit healthier.

All in all, I am SOOO happy to enjoy my Diet Coke! Nothing taste better in a moment of sweet temptation.

Twilight

Maricela, Ashley, Me, Maria, Amy, Tara B, Jen G, Chelsey and Annie after the show.

Last night, or I could say this morning, a group of us went to watch Twilight. It was a fun time. I picked up Maricela and Ashley at 1:45 am, after only being asleep 2 hours! We met up with my sister-in-laws and some friends and a whole bunch of other crazy Twilight fans. The highly anticipated movie was .... I will wait until more of you have seen it to post my reviews. I had a great time and even though i have not finished reading the series, I feel like a "true" fan. HAHA.... As you can see some of us had Twilight shirts. Mine says "Edward prefers brunettes", it's true he does, so go get you some hair dye.

Maricela, Me and Ashley ready for the show to start

It was fun and I can't wait to see the others, they better do them!

I have been wondering... What will Leah think of these movies and books when she is older and reads them? Will she think I am crazy for liking them or will she like them too?!?!

Youthful Fun Filled Wednesday Night

Top: Connor, Nate and Benjamin, Nathan, Chantel, Me, Chris
Second Row: Alex, Austin, Matt, Rylie, Michael, Tyler
Bottom row: Eric, Nate, Melinda, D.J., Marie, Kyle
(these are just a few of the youth in our ward)

I really enjoy the youth in our ward. They are a "royal generation", that is for sure. I have never blogged about them before but this last mutual activity was so much fun, and their personalities truly shone. We had a LipSync where they had to get into groups, give themselves a name (I will not tell you the names, since I don't remember them, but they were quite funny!), they practiced for 10 minutes and then the fun began. I was shocked to see some of these guys/gals rockin' it and shakin' what their momma gave them so freely up on stage. One of the YM leaders (Matt Nelson) really gave it his all and gave us a good laugh. I was VERY impressed with some of the moves from our new Deacons and Beehives, and I wonder where they got those moves?!?! Impressive to say the least. Oh what I would give to be young again! FUN FUN TIMES. Adriel, the YW president dared me to run up on stage and slide on the middle of the stage... I know BIG dare (wink, wink). So of course being my dorky self I ran as fast as I could in the 3 yards I had and slid on to the stage, I got beat red and I had a good laugh. The next day I felt like I had been beaten with a 2x4 a hundred times on the side of my leg, all for just a high five from Adriel and some good laughs. Again, I love the youth in the ward. They are so much fun and great examples.

I am going private....

I have been thinking about this a lot lately and I am going private. Why? I was watching the news and I saw a big thing on blogging and threats and I really want to protect my kids. I want to blog about EVERYTHING and I, believe it or not, I don't. So I am going private! I would love for you to keep checking on us and our "exciting" lives. Please leave me your e-mail on this post and I will send you the invite. I will have this up for a few days. THANKS!!

Tasty Trevino Treats will remain open for all to view. Since I know you ALL check it daily... :P

Milli, Milz, Milli Pilli, Mishi, Milliling, Milli Lee...

Milli had her 6 month old appointment last week and I need to "update" some of her latest and greatest. First of all she has many nicknames. Her latest was given to her by her uncle Marcos (my bro.) In Argentina we say the "y" and "ll" with a "SH" sound so since Millicent is spelled with a double "L" we now call her MiSHicent or MiSHi. We love her new nickname and it makes us laugh all the time. Milli is always smiling and I love her beautiful blue eyes, her toothless smile, her giggles, and many other things. Milli has been eating rice cereal for the past week and DOESN'T like it. I fed her some carrots today and she shook with disgust when I would get some in her mouth, I had to laugh every time. This little monkey is a bit small for my liking and I have been concerned with her lack of growth. She really needs some more meat on those bones. The Doc assured me she was doing just fine and not to worry, but that I should push for more feedings... well, thanks for the advice doc. should of told me sooner! Now that she is getting more food she is finally sleeping through the night! I guess she was starving. I can already tell she is a bit rounder in the face since last week. She is rolling over and is pretty content and loves her mama (that is a first for me because the other two like daddy best). Milli is joy and we love her to pieces.

Her latest stats:

13lbs. 12oz 15% weight
25 3/4 inches long 50% height

We love you Mish!

Old and New Friends

Yesterday we got together with some of our friends from FOREVER ago. We met the Smith's when we lived in Ecuador. Last time we saw them was about 16 years ago! Yeah for the internet and facebook for getting old friends back together. We had such a wonderful time! We have all grown up and now have our own children. The kids had a blast with their new friends. There were quite a few missing in this picture (the kids were all playing down stairs, Dave was out of town, Asialene was taking the picture, my sis in Colombia and many of the Smith kids live out of town). The Smith's are such wonderful people and we look forward to see them again soon. I love that the world is so big yet SO small and we can see old friends again and make new ones.

Happy B-day Ryan!

Monday was Ryan's B-day. We all went to Jungle Jim's and had a great time. The kids rode on the rides, played arcade games, had pizza, YUMMY cupcakes made by Aunt Amy (Ryan's mom) and of course opened presents. Ryan had an Indiana Jones theme to his party and as souvenirs they each got a treasure with yummy things in it. We love you Ryan, hope all your wishes come true!

Halloween 2008

Milli, Leah and Mylo doing their ninja pose.

Leah and Mylo ready to T.O.T

Ninjas and Snow White (Tenille)

Snow White and the 8 Dwarfs.
Max, Jake, Ryan, Leah, Milli, Chloe, Mylo, Allie and Tenille

Halloween night was fun time. Of course the kids love to dress up. All three of them were ninjas. I made these costumes (I know, not fabulous, but they thought they looked pretty dang cool and they LOVED it). We trick-or-treated around our neighborhood and didn't forget to go to Leah's Kindergarten Teacher's house. It was a nice night but a little wet. My mom came along with us but when it started to more than drizzle she took Milli back home. We are lame and leave a bowl out for people to help themselves. Next year I will stay home (maybe:)). After we did our neighborhood we headed to Dave's parents house and saw some cousins and Grandpa Al. The kids trick-or-treated in the circle and of course got tons of yummy candy, which I am eating! All in all it was a fun time. I love holidays and I think its really fun to create new family traditions. Be careful now, you wouldn't want to encounter one of these ninjas at night.... except they kept on saying they were nice ninjas.

W.N.O.

Some of us moms from the ward got together and went to Witches Night at Gardner Village a few weeks ago. It was fun time. I really had no idea what a big deal this was and how many people dress up. There are all sort of ladies dressed up and I thought this one lady was pretty dang witchy looking so I had to have my picture taken with her. Next year I will have to plan in advance and get my costume put together. We ate some yummy food, fried bread (YUM!), we also enjoyed some very crowded window shopping, and we cackled for coupons (see picture above). Good times, Good times!

We partook in the fun of a fire pit at one of neighbors house a few weeks ago. We had a great time. All the kids ran around like crazy in their awesome backyard. I was holding Milli while Dave attempted to perfectly roast some marshmallows. I ended up eating a bunch of them since they were too crisp for his liking, lucky me. I love these beautiful cool fall evenings and sitting by the fire is just wonderful!
