Mylo Turns 7

Mylo turned 7!  Its so crazy to think my little baby boy is getting so big.  He is as cute and funny as ever.  He opted for a bigger present and no party this year (again) and that was perfect in my book.

He got an awesome Ninjago Lego Set and he was VERY PLEASED!

Leah pretty much built it for him.  They both love to build Legos together and this was perfect.   We are still in our apt, but so close to moving to our house.  You can see all the boxes and suitcases behind them.  It was chaos for a few weeks in the apt :)

It has become tradition to have doughnuts on our birthdays, we all look forward to it!  Because all of our stuff was packed away, I mean I had 6 plates and utensils and two pans, we didn't have an actual cake.  So Mylo blew his CANDLE (yes, only one) SEVEN times :)

We sure love our smarty pants!  He continues to be funny, clever, a little stinker at times, but ALWAYS super cute!  His big brown eyes melt my heart and his beautiful full eyelashes make it hard to say "no" to him.  He is doing fantastic at school and has lots of great friends.  Im looking forward to seeing how he continues to grow.

House Update (pic overload)

WE ARE GETTING SO CLOSE!!!!

We are super close to final inspection and A LOT has been happening at the house.

Exterior done, minus the door...

BOLD Yellow doors.  I LOVE THEM!  They make me smile and giggle :)  We also had the back doors painted yellow.

This is the door off the dinning area onto the deck.

These are the basement doors.  The one on the left is from our storage and the one on the right is from the family room.... I think they are so cheery :)

Family room view, the yellow door would be on the right side of the picture.  The little "mouse" door goes under the stairs and into a play room.  The other door is to the mechanical.  The hallway leads to Leah, Mylo and Abuela's bedrooms and bathrooms (there is not electricity yet, so no pics of the BRs yet)

From the other side.  I love this room, it was so much light and I love the color I picked out (Rock Flour from Kwahl on the walls and Fossil Dust on trim and ceiling)

The other mouse door, this picture was taken inside the play room :)

LONGEST stairs ever! The stairs had to be this long because we had to add two feet every where, so that added about four extra steps. On the left you go into the PlayRoom (and cold storage).  On the right is the Family Room (pictured above).

Mud Room/Laundry.  This is the room we will walk into every day and I LOVE IT! Your immediate right takes you into the kitchen :)

Kitchen, Dinning, Living Room... This room as already changed.  We now have cabinets!

This picture is taken from the dinning area.  The hallway leads to the other three bedrooms and bathrooms.

This is the view when you walk in from the front door.  Dave's office is on the right with double french doors.

Master Bath.  On the right our closet and on the left our big shower and commode room :)

Our shower, mid tiling :)

I am loving how things have been turning out!!! Love the tile, the color on the walls, the cabinets, the doors... everything! We feel VERY blessed to have this home to call our own.

We will hopefully be moving-in Memorial Day weekend.  :)

Dave and Otis

One of the benefits of having Dave work from home some days....

He plays with the kids through out the day, and the pictures speak for themselves.  Melts my heart to see them and their relationship.

Otis has started licking his plate clean.  I have no idea why?  Maybe he is STILL hungry after he is done.  The other kids never did this.  Little Stinker!

Easter

Easter morning quickly came and went!  We had the usual Egg Hunt with the kids.  They loved all the yummy treats.  We had our spiritual eggs in the mix as well.  We went through the 12Eggs of The True Meaning of Easter, and as usual, it was really nice to talk about our Resurrect Savior!

The kids got all dressed up in their new fancy outfit and would not take a good picture for us... so no picture of that.  Still I know the looked cute.

After church we headed to Temple Square to take in the beauty of those sacred grounds! It was so nice.  The kid ran around touching all the fountains and balanced on the edges of pretty much everything.

This was Otis' first time walking almost the entire time.  He did not want to be confined to his stroller.  He saw the other kids having so much fun that he threw a fit until we caved and let him have fun too :)

The kids wanted a picture here...

Then they became statues.  I love their individual personalities and they fun spirits!

We took a little tour of the South Visitor Center.  It was a beautiful day! I love going to temple Square, its so relaxing and that was exactly what we needed.

Mylo - Funny and Sweet

A while ago Mylo was in a "crafty" mood.  He made crowns for Otis and Milli.  Then he wanted to make sure they fit just right and he wanted it documented :)

Oti's crown says "HiImOtis" then i told him he needed spaced between the words so he did it again... Otis was quite pleased with his crown! I was quite pleased with the words on the crown, heeheheee! Funny boy.

I love that Mylo made Milli a fancier crown with big "spikes" on it.  He was sure to put jewels on the crowns and Milli LOVED IT!

The crowns are cute, but my favorite part is Mylo's arm around his siblings.  He can be a sweet boy this one!

City Creek

City Creek was soon to be opened and Maricela asked if I wanted to go on opening day.  I was concerned about the crowds and honestly, I had no money to be spending a the mall.  No money at the mall is not fun.  But, its always fun to hang out with Mari.

This picture was not taken the day we wen to City Creek Opening.

When we got to City Creek we quickly parked and headed upstairs.  When we got upstairs we saw a long line of people and decided to ask what the line was for.  We found out it was for the first 100 people that finish the FourSquare App and did 3/10 'activities' in City Creek.  The first 100 people would get a swag bag with goodies inside.  We had nothing to loose, so we downloaded the app and hung out for ONE HOUR!  We met a nice lady while down loading our app.  IT TOOK FOREVER to download our apps.  The three of us kept checking on each others phones and tried to see which activities we could quickly complete...

The hour was worth our while when we got our swag bag.  Among other things we got a $50 Visa Gift Card!!!! YAY!  So fun to have our trip be paid for by Visa :) it was worth the wait.

We shopped a little and had some lunch and looked forward to the day we would soon come back  :)

AND a few days later, we did!!!! This time we took Front Runner and Trax to get there.  It was a fun time....

Otis (and mine) first time on Front Runner.  He likes to be independent and doesn't enjoy to be restrained, so it wasn't a totally pleasant experience.  But he sure enjoy it! :)

Our cute little monkeys.  They were SO good and we had a great time hanging out.  Laura, Mari's sister-in-law also came with us that day.

Im looking forward to going again!

Milli is FOUR!

(This post was written MONTHS later 9/2012)

Milli is FOUR!  I can't believe my white girl is getting so big.  She has SO brightened our hearts and our home.  We never could have imagined how sweet she was going to be.  She is ALWAYS giving us compliments and telling us she loves us.  She is tender and kind and loving!  She is also sassy and super fun.  Loves to dress up and be a total girl... WE FEEL SO BLESSED!

As it has become tradition in our home, we got birthday doughnuts for breakfast and presents were set on the counter for little miss.

We were still living in the apartment, so we dind't do a big party.  It was just us and it was great!

Milli was happy and that is all that matters.  She got dress up shoes, which she thinks she can wear everywhere, a Barbie and a purse with all sorts of things a girl needs, ie. lipstick, wallet, credit card and jewelry :)

We ate out and blew out candles on the doughnuts.  Milli is our ray of sunshine, ALWAYS!

WE LOVE YOU MISS MILLI!!!!!
