A Make Shift Ballerina

Milli is our little princess.  She is also our little Ballerina.  Last week she found a bunch of cups and used them as her "point" shoes.  I think its pretty incredible... She is a "natural"  :)  I think she would LOOOOVE Dance. LOVE. IT!

She spent a good two hours playing with her new found shoes.  This girl is seriously not mine... but I will TOTALLY claim her... ALWAYS!!!!

Mylo Turns SIX!

We had a great day celebrating Mylo!  He has been melting our hearts from the very first time we saw him.  When he was born I remember thinking I had never seen such a beautiful baby.  I fell in love the second I was able to see his cute little face.  Now, six years later, his cute little face still melts my heart and I can't help but look at those big brown eyes and almost  give in to whatever he wants.  :)

This year we gave Mylo the choice of having a party or just a family fun filled day and he would get a nicer present.  I know, a little mean, but really I didn't have energy to throw a party and still keep my house clean for the just-in-case-someone-wants-to-come-see-it phase that I thought we would have been in.  I have always said Mylo is a smart kid and he proved that to me once again when he chose to just have a family fun filled day.  (love him for that)

I got so lazy this year I didn't even think to make a cake!  Poor Kid!  We just bought some gelatto and added candles to it.  We didn't even use plates we just all dig it... its great!  Plus, he was really SO happy, and that's all that matters :)

He got slightly spoiled with his presents.  He got a BIG Ninjago Lego Se(Thx mom and dad) , Three Star Wars Lego sets (Thx Abuela) and a Big Star Wars Lego Set (Thx Al and Diann).  He has been playing with the Legos ALL the time and sharing with Leah.  I love Legos!

Mylo is a truly a JOY to have in our home.  We adore him!!!!!

Its About Being Flexible

The Menu for this week was:

Monday: Enchiladas Verdes  (I added corn to the enchiladas and it was really good!  We also added some veggies with a side salad.  It was yummy. The kids ate this. YAY!)

Tuesday: Chicken Parmessan (NOPE.  I made fish tacos instead. Kids LOVED it)

Wednesday:  Mylo's Choice  (Training Table--YUM)

Thursday:  BBQ Shrimp/Steak Potatoes and Salad (NOPE.  Pasta Primavera with Chicken)

Sunday Best for My Boys

I love to get the kids dressed up and looking all nice.  Last Sunday I added a tie to Oti's already cute outfit (he was wearing a white linen shirt, adorable, in my opinion).  I couldn't help but smile when I saw all my boys in their Sunday best.

NONE of them look pleased that I wanted to take a picture of them... which totally makes me laugh!  I love them just the same  :)

what is wrong with me?!?!?

I have been a TOTAL slacker with taking pics later.  Why is this important?  No pics, no blog!  I don't like to blog with no pics.  I think its boring :)  So here is a random picture for you....

Milli licking the spatula after making banana bread a few weeks ago.  Every day, when I look at this child, that belongs to me, I wonder why her hair is so wild!?!?  It speaks of her TOTALLY fun personality.

Random story:

When Leah was born, I was sure she would be attached to me.  WRONG!  She had a much better connection with Dave.  When Mylo was born, same thing.  I was sad about it for a little while.  Then when Milli came a long we really did have a strong connection right away.  It was magical! I love it! When Otis came to us, he too was more attached to me.  So its fair, right?  Two for each of us.  WHATEVER!  Milli and Otis are WAY more clingy than Leah and Mylo ever were.  Milli hangs on me like a baby monkey does to its momma.  I can't stand it!  I have things to do... So to make a long story short, I would rather they all like their dad best :)

House UDPATE: SHOCKING!

So we put our house up for sale LAST friday.  Monday we had two showings.  Tuesday we had an offer for VERY close to our asking price.  We countered.  On Wednesday they countered back we accepted and now we are done with showing the house and praying everything will fall in to place.  We close on June 28, Otis b-day.

We are excited and shocked!  We never thought it would be this fast.  We have said from the beginning (back in January, when we started thinking about doing this) that IF the Lord wanted us to move then things would work in our favor.  And it has.  We have put our trust in Him and we can see his hands in our lives SO clearly!!!

We are still cautious about this as we know there are times that things fall through.  But, we continue to pray things work out.

NOW... we need to find a place to rent for the next 6 months while we build our new home (after we find a lot :)).  PLEASE, if you know of any one that is in this business, please send them our way!

YAY!!!!

Otis LOVING An Apple

I think these pictures speak for themselves... LOVE is in the air!

Trying To Be A Better Me

In an attempt to be a better me I am going to post my weekly menu up on my blog.  After having Otis and dealing with some post partum depression, which I hadn't experienced before, really, I am finally feeling like myself again.  It feels great!

The house is clean, for several reasons :)  But I am TOTALLY enjoying my clean house.  I am TOTALLY enjoying my up-to-date laundry (its not overwhelming any more).  I am TOTALLY enjoying my life again.  I am TOTALLY enjoying ME again!  YAY!

BUUUUUT, as always with me, it can never be EVERYTHING perfect.  When I put all my energy in one thing, something else must give.  In this case our lack of home cooked meals.  The truth is that I enjoying cooking for my family.  I MUCH rather cook for them than go grab some unhealthy take-out.  SO, I'm going to see if this will help me be a better me.

I will post our weekly menu on monday and hopefully this will also help our HUUUUGE grocery budget.  If I told you how much we spend on groceries a month you might die. I am determined to be better at it.

See the side bar for our weekly menu, if you care to know what we are having.  AND if you could share any easy EASY dinner meals I would SO appreciate it.

Our Milli Turns THREE!!!!

Milli turned three on Sunday {tear running down my face}  I can't believe that three years a go we were staring at a little red faces WHITE baby with loads of SUPER light hair.  It is no surprise that we were very SURPRISED by her appearance.  It is how ever NO surprise that she is all we could have dreamed of and then some.  We love our sassy princess to pieces!!!!

Monday we had a very little get together.  It was perfect!  She was happy and that is all we could ask for.  We had cake and ice cream at the park with some of the family and Milli's favorite friends.  She got spoiled with princess dress up stuff and a cute little "Sasha" dog.  She has been wearing her new dress up stuff day AND night (no joke)!

 Picture OVERLOAD below:

Our Princess!!!  Literally :)  She couldn't be happier, and we couldn't either :)

We love our white girl!!!!
