Halloween 2010

Our Halloween celebration started with pumpkin carving.  Leah had the idea to put our names on our pumpkins and I think it was a good idea.  They turned out pretty cute :)

The kids wore their costumes all day!

Leah was a cowgirl....

Mylo was Woody....

Milli was a Lady Bug....

Otis was a Peanut.... I think they were all cute :)

After a cold and wet trick or treating we made our special people round ending at Mike and Mary's.  We had a chance to see some of the Uboldi cousins, who had already removed their costumes.  It was  a fun evening.  Wet and cold, but still very fun!

Today we had a Trevino Halloween Party at the Pearce home.  The kids were all dressed up and it was a lot of fun.  The kids played games, ate lots of goodies and took some pictures.

Uncle Dave was a trooper!  He was a "Woopie Cushion".  It was very funny!  The kids were very creative with their costumes, particularly the older kids :)

The kids became mummies with "fancy" TP!

They also played some musical chairs/cushions.... Always a good time at the Pearce home!

We had a fantastic Halloween!!!!

crazy hair day @ school

it was crazy hair day at school this last week. the night before we "practiced". the kids were excited to get their crazy hair done.... this was the result. however, only Leah participated on the real crazy hair day. Mylo sort of chickened out. he doesn't like to be the center of attention :)

Leah is EIGHT!!!!!

Leah turned EIGHT on Tuesday!!! I just can't believe how much life changed eight years ago.  She has brought so much happiness and drama to our life, we could not do with out her!!!!

We had a friend party on Saturday.  She wanted a Big Top Cupcake, Oreo Balls, Carmel Apples and Chocolate Covered Pretzels.  I did just that!  It was a lot of fun to have Leah's friends over to celebrate!

We played Twister and it proved to be too easy for the girls.  So we moved on to Leah's favorite part of the party.... a scavenger hunt.  This was not easy task and it didn't last as long as I had wished.

I had ten clues to lead them to the treasure.  Every clue rhymed and they had to complete a task before being able to open the clue.  One of the "tasks" was to give Leah a group hug, I think Leah really liked it :)

The clues took them in and out of the house.  The treasure was a bunch of beads for the girls to make their own bracelets.  They had  a good time doing that.  It was fun to see how creative the girls could be.

Once finished making their bracelets they played games.

Then presents and cake.

Although Leah has a friends party, it was simply not enough :)  We celebrate on her actual b-day.

Dave and Leah got doughnuts and we all had a very healthy breakfast ;)

Later than night we went out to dinner to Firehouse,
we won't be going there again for several reasons.

When we got back home Leah got to go with Abuela to get a gelato and pick out a new and fancy CTR ring.  I asked Leah to be very polite and she said "Of course mom! I am 8!" I will make sure she remembers that.

I know she had a great day, but she is really looking forward to November 6th when she will be getting baptized.

ps.  She LOVES her scriptures and has been taking care of them and reading them, which is the most important part.

Astigmatism....

I got a letter from the school nurse that Mylo had not passed his eye screening and that he needed an eye exam. I was surprised to get the letter since Mylo has never complained and I have never seen him squint. Well sure enough he has his fathers eyes. He needs glasses but Dr. Wilkes said to wait a year. Perhaps he will grow out of it.

Mylo was so cute and brave during the appointment. Those machines can be intimidating to a little kid!

I don't want him to get glasses, but how cute would he look!!!!

Who Knew....

.... that this purchase would bring me to tears?!?!?

As I was checking out at Deseret Book this morning, my eyes welled up with tears.  I cannot believe that the time has come to get Leah her very own set of scriptures!  My little baby is growing up and I cannot stand it.  It seem like just yesterday she was in Dave's arms being blessed!!!!!

TIME, PLEASE STOP!!!

I hope and pray that Leah will hold on to these scriptures and find guidance in them as they have guided my life.

Fun with the Stailey's

I love Facebook and Blogging for this reason.... I get to see and re-connect with old friends.  Blogging allows us to catch up and get see what we have been up to in years!  This was the case with Tammy and her cute little family.

Tammy found me a few years ago and we have stayed in touch since.  However, it took us years to finally get together.  It was worth the wait.

Tammy had her first cutie pie, Jack, 2 1/2 weeks after I had Otis.  It was cute to see them interact together.  Jack is smiley and sweet and a cutie pie!

Such a fun age!!!!

I got to meet Brett, Tammy's husband as well and he was kind enough to document our lunch date.  He took this cute picture of Milli, who was being very shy.  Every time they would talk to her she would just look down.  Thx Brett!

The Stailey's are moving to Florida this week and I am grateful we were able to get together and have our little monkeys meet up.  Perhaps they will meet years down the road with their own families, as did Tammy and I.  :)

Pumpkin Patch

I want to just copy and paste Maria's post... but I will just "steal" her collages instead :)

(I just want to say, that I LOVE these kids LOOOOVE THEM, even when they drive me crazy)

We went to the pumpkin patch last friday with Maria, Amy and ALL our ELEVEN kids (I think its awesome that we have that many kids together :)).  It had been a while since we all got together and this was a great time.  The kids were happy to see each other and we got some "important" seasonal purchases made :) The kids rode on the carts as Amy, Dylan and Gabi all took turns pulling the cart.

The kids ran around the hay maze and got pretty dirty.  I hate dirt!

As for me and my kids, we picked out our six pumpkins to later be carved.  We all piled the pumpkins on top of Preston, Kylie and Milli.  They didn't seem to mind.

The weather was perfect and we all enjoyed each others company.

The best part of that day was Amy taking my kids with her (as well as Dylan) for sleep over!  I am not sure how I would survive some of the long weekend with out Dave if it weren't for Amy.... FANK YOU Amy!!!!!

New Doors!!!!

BEFORE....

AFTER....
This has been a long time coming.  I am SOOOO glad it is done!!!  I think it looks SO much better than the old door.  I just need to add some pretty seasonal decor and it will be prefect.  It was worth the wait.

We had help with the paint and the installation, thanks to some great neighbors :)

We also painted the side door.  I like it a lot better.  It feels nice to have that little bit of change to the house.  Now all I want is some shutters on the front window and some landscaping in the front and the back and I think that will do :)

Night Out Together

Dave and I celebrated our anniversary Friday night at Cheesecake Factory.  It was DELICIOUS to say the least.  We had great time.  We sat outside and the weather was just perfect!!!

We were pretty hungry, so we started with Avocado Eggrolls.  SO yummy!!!  (this picture was not taken by me, we were so excited when they arrived that we just gobbled them up super fast :))

I enjoyed Crispy Shirmp with Coleslaw and French Fries as well as Strawberry Lemonade.

Dave had a Chicken Stuffed Tortillas, Black Beans and the most delicious Corn Cakes I have ever had!

For desert we had a White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Carmel Cheesecake, SUPER rich in flavor.

We left feeling stuffed to say the least and as for me I left wanting to come back soon.  I am sure the dinner didn't help the waist line much.  But it was worth every bite!
We came home and watched Date Night.  It was funny and entertaining, however should not be rated PG13.  Dave and I had a fun night together.  So nice to be out alone and not be interrupted by the munchkins!!!

Summer Fun- Thx to Aunt Amy

This post should have been posted a loooooong time ago.  But, I have been busy with baby #4 and still trying to get caught up with life as I knew it.... but, here it is.....

Leah and Mylo had a FABULOUS summer, thanks to Aunt Amy and her sweet kids.  We have always had Cherry Hill passes, but this summer Leah and Mylo got Lagoon passes so they could hang out once a week with Amy and her kids.  It made for a GREAT summer for all of us.  The kids would go with Amy, Milli napped, and I relaxed or caught up with house work.  It was wonderful!!!!

Leah, Mylo, Diego, Porter and Kylie on the one day they went to Lagoona Beach.
They had a blast!!!

Kylie, Leah (poser), Mason, Gabi, Diego and Mylo (not sure what he is looking at)

Leah, Diego, Gabi, Kylie, Mason and Mylo- what a bunch of cuties!!!

The kids would come home and tell me all about the fun rides they had gone on and how much fun it was.  I was suprised as to how "daring" they were to go on the rides.  I think the fact that their cousins were daring helped a lot :)

The kids had the BEST summer EVER!

Fank You Uboldi Family!!!
