Yesterday the kids were playing and as it often happens one of them hurt the other ones feelings. When I went to see what had happened I found this... Milli was holding on to Mylo as tight as possible. Leah had hurt Milli's feelings, poor baby! I went to grab the now bawling Milli and she said "NO!". She just wanted Mylo to give her hugs and make her happy. SO cute, although a little hurtful to see that someone else was doing a fine job at making her happy again.
That was not the only instance my kids melted my heart this weekend.
On Friday we had been invited to go bowling with Sarah, Dave's sister (and the Trevino side of the family). We were looking forward to it all week. When Friday came around Mylo was NOT feeling well. With Dave being out of town I couldn't just leave a sick child at home with a sitter and still make Leah happy by going. Anyway, breaking the news to Leah was not a good experience. We have missed out on so many fun things due to sickness that this was frustrating. I could see Leah's disappointment but at the same time I couldn't leave a sick Mylo at home, he wanted his mom to care for him. So after much discussion and trying to convince Leah that we could still have fun night at home, Mylo says "its OK mom. You can get me a babysitter so you can still go...". My heart broke for him! He was willing to give up his mom, in order to see Leah happy. I was so touched my his words. A few seconds later, Leah comes up to Mylo, tears in her eyes and says, "Mylo, thank you so much! You are such a nice brother. You can have and keep my new Rex." They had both given up things they wanted. Leah had worked hard to get her new Rex toy, yet the love she felt from her brother moved her to give it up.
I just love my kids and I love to see them love each other!
