I feel like I have been doing nothing but cleaning and picking up... FOR EVER!
Today that has been the case. I TOTALLY cleaned out Leah's closet and organized it (picture to follow, eventually). I rearranged her room and cleaned all the garbage that was in there.
THEN, I rearranged Mylo's room. He was next to the wall and since he is a very early riser he would bang on the wall and wake Leah... now he is in the middle of the room and won't be able to bang any wall except the one by his head. I just hope he doesn't fall off his bed.
THEN, Caught up with all the weeks laundry, cleaned bathrooms... the only thing left to do is vaccuum and mop, and that can wait, I am done for the day.
NEXT WEEKEND, maybe I will tackle Milli's closet.
I just hope it all last longer than a weekend.
I feel like I have accomplished a lot :)

Two Cute Stinkers
The other day Milli had her 20 month check up (it was supposed to be an 18 months check up, but I spaced it). In an attempt to get a picture of her by herself I had an onlooker who wanted to join in. They are both doing the Milli Cheezer and I love Mylo's arm around his little sister. The truth is that Mylo can't leave her alone. He can be found teasing her or squeezing her cheeks super hard, all with too much love.
Milli is a tiny little thing. She is 65% in height and barely 5% in weight. She is 33.25" tall and only weighs 21.4lbs. I think she takes after her mom :) All the way! (tall and thin :) ) She is healthy and that is all that matters.
She is doing very well developmentally. Although she is not easy to understand she can clearly make us know what she wants. Her "beebee" is now a clear "binky". She is playful and will say, "you cwazy" to let you know she thinks you are silly. I love it when Dave brings her to me in the morning and she will snuggle with me (and only me) and say "quake uh" (wake up). She has always had a lazy tongue and I don't expect her to be a talker like her older brother.
She LOVES to read books and point to the things she knows. Her favorite is Five Little Ducks and she loves to do the "quack, quack, quack" part by herself. She also loves babies right now and will try to change the baby's diaper. She wants to be a big kid like her siblings and do what they are doing. She is also a very big climber. I have to keep all the door shut or she will climb on the counters or her changing table or our bed or the kitchen table. She is TROUBLE! Milli also loves to dance and she has some great rhythm.
I love to watch her grow! We are blessed to have her in our lives... she is one sassy little thing!

BEST Father/Husband Award
** This will be gross to some... so don't look at the picture AND dont' read this post :) **
Dave Trevino is the winner of this award at our house! Granted their are no other nominees.. BUUUUT... He had to deal with some pretty nasty stuff all by himself yesterday. I had a "boutique" to go to, so of course he had to deal with the kids, no big deal, since he does it all the time. Well, Milli woke up and he went to grab her so he could get dinner started. His plans quickly changed when he got to her room and found this...
That is NOT chocolate all over the bed and her arms... Its POO! EVERY WHERE!!!! I could not have dealt with this on my own. He quickly sent me a text saying something like "its EVERYWHERE" and then I got a picture of this most sweet child COVERED in poo up to her elbows on my phone (gotta love technology).
Dave said it took him one hour and thirty minutes to clean everything up, PLUS he had to make sure she wouldn't go in the room and try to "help". Thank goodness for big sister, Leah, who watched Milli closely. Dave also said that it took him FOREVER to wash her. Poor thing slept in that nastiness for a couple of hours.
The nursery has never looked so clean!
Dave is the BEST for dealing with this and not killing someone in the process :) Including me when I got home. Seriously, Dave YOU are the best! I don't blame him for never wanting to change a poopy diaper again!

I am giving up on making ANY food/treat
At least for an indefinite amount of time, I am giving up on making ANY food/treat for my family or friends. I have had so many FAILED attempts lately, its just not helping my self-esteem. I made a not so delicious pasta sauce with veggies, NOBODY liked it. Then I made less than pleasing cupcakes, and not so long ago I made burnt panninis for some friends (YUK)... and to top it off I made BRICKS for some lovely friends out of rice krispies and marshmallows, also known as rice krispies treats. They were ROCK hard, however, I didn't notice until it was too late. I made them look pretty but that was it! I am so tired of sucking at this cooking thing. I will have to seriously make up for that non-gift! One friend said, "at least the chocolate on top was tasty"... I love her for being honest :)

Valentine's Day
Another holiday with sick kids. I had plans of making a really nice meal and fancy things up for one night, but with sick kids a fancy meal is just a big waste of time and energy.
We did have a lovely dinner of a delicious homemade chicken noodle soup. It really was one the best I have made, at least lately (my cooking skills are very minimal when I am pregnant). We had rolls for us 'healthy' folk and crackers for the kids. We made a fancy drink with some sprite and powerade from food storage, it was really tasty. Leah and I decorated the table with the few things we had handy.
Dave had been out of town and we were just glad he was home!
Dinner is my favorite time of the day. I love to just sit and chit chat with the kids about the day and to let the kids tell Dave all the fun or not so fun things that have gone on.
Valentine's was celebrated with LOVE surrounding the dinner table and it was wonderful!
I feel my Heavenly Father's love when I look around and see what I have. I am always amazed at how I/we have been blessed with the children that bright our home. I also feel a tremendous amount of love for my husband. He is a wonderful partner and a great team mate for me.
ps. finally got that lovely picture at the top of this post from Dave :) Love you!!!
I wish I Could Blog about Valentine's Day ...
... But I am waiting on ONE picture from ONE person who can't just send it to me!!!!!
Dave get your act together and send it to me!!!!

When is Spring Coming?!?!?
I am really tired of this drab winter. I am ready for some nice days in the 50's and some sun and no more snow on the ground. I am DONE with this winter weather, DONE!

A Visit From Tia Maggie
Last week Tia Maggie came in to town to celebrate her grandson's b-day. It was so fun to see her for a little while. Maggie is my mom's sister. We are all really close with my mom's family and la Tia Maggie is just like a friend to us. She is really fun and always so giving (it runs in the family, all of them are super giving with their time and talents). We had mate (Argentine herbal tea) and some crackers. It was very nice and relaxing.
I love the women in my family. They have taught me a lot and I think they are very fun :)
note to self: wear make up next time!

No Children Were Harmed In This Video
Dave came home from Winter Xgames wanting to film the kids eating a SUPER sour candy... This was the result of his experiment.
Again, no children were harmed during the making of this video... they are all still fine and want more :)

A New Do
Its been quite a while since I got my hair done. So this week I pampered myself. I got my hair highlighted and cut. I needed the change. It was either color or REALLY cut... so I just colored it.
Dave says I look 'blonde'. I disagree. I got tons of layers and I feel like I look a little like a news reporter, not fantastic, but Dave says it will look good in a few weeks :) I am just glad he noticed. Also once he found out how much it was he didn't like it as much :) Hey, its not cheap to look like a news reporter!

The back :)
I do love my new bangs, though. I think it makes me look a little more styled, even with a pony tail.

Enjoying My Mylo
I love to get down on the floor and play with the kids. They like to climb on me and I like to karate chop them or light saber them into bits. They kids really enjoy it. The other day Mylo and I were playing and he was going crazy! He was climbing on me and flipping over my shoulder and he would pretend to karate kick me... it was really fun. After a while I told him we had to stop. It was time to get dinner going and I couldn't stand my hair anymore. It had been a pony tail all day, with the bangs pulled back. All the climbing on me made my hair go crazy.
He said: Mom you look good. Your hair looks nice!
Me: You think my hair looks good?!?! Its crazy! I can't go out like this
Mylo: Mom your hair looks nice. You look very sassy!
Hahaha!!! I have never heard him say that before and we never say that either. He picks up on things that just make us laugh.
He "defeated" me and this was his victory pose. Scaaaaarrryyy!!!

Its a BOOOOYYYY!!!
We went to our ultrasound this morning and really all I wanted to know was that the baby's heart was beating. It was!!! What a wonderful feeling. Then the exciting part was to see what we were having and we were thrilled to find out we are expecting another boy!!! I was sure it was going to be a girl. I have always thought the opposite of what we are having, so I guess I shouldn't trust my instincts.
I love his profile!!!
I thought we were decided on a name but I guess not. Dave is not loving the name we had originally thought of :) Regardless, our baby BOY, is looking good and is as cute as the others were in their ultrasound. They have all had a very distinct profile and that was very fun to see.
No more worries anymore.
(btw- this is the only time you will see me display that little boy part!)

I am LATINA! I can say whatever I want!!!
Last summer, at girl's camp, sweet Emily Evans was telling us a super funny story when she was in Mexico... and I will not attempt to retell it as she is really great at doing it. But when she was done she said, "well, the lady was latina, and you guys just say whatever you want!"
True that!
Anyway, since then my friends and I have been known to use that phrase all the time! its true. Latino's, in general, speak their mind and latino's, in general, can take it. It was funny to me that I was 'offended' that some body didn't realize I was pregnant a few weeks ago. I was like, "you think i was just getting this belly cause I stopped running?" Later I laughed because I expected that same "latino" bluntness...like "WOW! that belly is getting big. You havin' twins or somethin'"... but it wasn't.
Truth is, I love that phrase, it makes me laugh and it might just get me out of sticky situations :) But I have been trying to be nicer, or more politically correct. Dare I say, 'more amercian?'... NO! Just nicer over all sounds better to me.
I love my life. Struggles and all... mostly because I have family and friends that make me laugh and make my life so much fun!!!

"What's Mylo Doing?"
The other day Dave called and Leah wanted to talk to him. Of course Dave asked what was going on and what the other kids were doing...
When Dave asked Leah, "what is Mylo doing?" She said, "he's being a potato!...jajajjaa"
She was right! Mylo was being a total couch potato, his belly sticking out and couldn't hear anything! It made me laugh. That boy is just waaaay too mellow for his own good. When Dave asked Leah, "what is Mylo doing?" She said, "he's being a potato!...jajajjaa"
Milli was being a couch potato as well, and she knows how to do it just right, with cookies in hand. Poor kids, not sure where they got this grand idea.....

A sweet moment...
Its never fun to get a phone call about something your kids have done that was not wonderful. However, its wonderful to get a phone call from some one telling you what sweet girl, your daughter was/is/can be. That was the case yesterday. It was late last night, well not really late, when the Primary President called me to tell me something really sweet that Leah did.
Leah was sitting in her row at Primary, when Sarah, a little girl who has Downs, was being her spunky self and wanting to talk on the primary pulpit. When Leah saw this she called Sarah over and patted the chair next to her. Sarah was so happy to see that Leah wanted her to sit by her that she quickly went and sat by Leah and put her head (Sarah's head) on her shoulder (Leah's shoulder). The teacher wasn't there yet and it was very sweet!
I was almost on the verge of tears to hear that story. It really melts my heart to see that some of the things we teach our kids really sticks with them. I have seen Leah be sweet at school, by tying someones shoes or by helping them zip up their jacket. She is so sweet, especially when she wants to be. She is my trial child and I am SO grateful that Rashawn took the time to call me and make my day!
I am sure there are lots of little stories like this at Primary. This is why we must be like the little children! I have a lot to learn from my kids but that is one completely different post.
