I love the 4th of July. I love patriotic holidays. Where ever I have lived we have always embraced he holidays of that country. The 4th of July is so fun. I love the summer, the fun things we can do in the summer as a family, the late nights with the kids and the fireworks, the yummy food that comes with celebration, singing the national anthem and other patriotic hymns, making new traditions and most of all I love what the 4th of July means for me. As an American citizen I am eternally grateful for the freedoms I am able to enjoy in this great country! I am so grateful for the men and women who have fought and are fighting for the freedom I am able to enjoy. I am grateful for the blessings this country brings me, from feeling free and safe to allowing me to worship freely as well. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!
This year Leah and I started a new tradition of tie dying shirts. Dave refuses to wear any tie dye so he didn't get one (party pooper!). I love that Leah is old enough to do this with me. I think she had a great time as well.

We got snow cones and then went to Cherry Hill with Dave! He doesn't have a season pass so that was a great treat for all of us. The kids love showing him all the fun things we do there. Plus this was Milli's first time getting her hand in the water since she got her burn... so nice not to have to worry about it getting wet. It was memorable.
Of course, we got together with family (Trevino side) and ate a delicious BBQ and enjoyed some great company and fireworks are Dave and Sarah's. It was a late night but so worth it. Dave and Dave P. put on a great show. We were also able to watch several of the other firework shows around the Salt Lake Valley.
