St. Patrick's Day (collage overload)

We were excited about St. Patrick's Day this year. We love to all wear green and pinch those that are not. We were lucky to have Gianluca, Allegra and Sidney with us for most of the day and that made the day even more fun. Leah and Allegra wanted to paint their nails so they did, then Gianluca wanted to join in the fun.... Mylo was not too sure about that idea.

Since painting their nails wasn't enough they painted on some paper, tables, walls, hands and t-shirts as well. They painted for about an hour and it was a great time for them to play and get dirty. Leah was having "the most terrible day EVER". The other kids were mixing the paint and that was not cool with her... Poor thing, if that were the only trouble in life?!?!

While they were painting a Leprechaun came by and tried to tease the kids to try to catch him. The Leprechaun left several clues around the house. First at the door step, then on the trampoline, by the raspberries (because he needed a treat), in the fridge to get some 'green drink', on a bed to get some rest, in the dryer to get his clean clothes and finally under the rainbow sweater where they found the 'pot of gold' full of golden treats. The kids were not quick enough and they were not able to catch the Leprechaun... Perhaps next year. They LOOOVED it!

Dinner was very fun too. "Juanita' (aka Sidney) was my helper and we made Tortellini's with pesto, green beans, green apple salad, green lemonade and for desert a very colorful rainbow cake. It was so fun to be all greened out for the day. It was fun to hang out with Juanita and to do all the fun things we did. The cake was big hit with the kids.

Even though we didn't catch a Leprechaun or find 'gold' at the end of the rainbow I still feel very lucky to have my little family and the big family that I belong to as well. Its better than gold!

What a fun day! Good job for making it that way! I loved the leprechaun hunt! That is so adorable. We were pretty lame ourselves. I did make green shamrock-shaped pancakes for breakfast. But that was about it. Maybe next year!

That's a full day! It sounds like everyone had fun. I'm not sure who had the most fun you or the kids. We too had a green supper.

Mmmm, I'm getting hungry. (Course it is 10:30 at night--the perfect time to eat.) I only made green lemonade popsicles for the big holiday.
