My little sick baby

Milli woke up with a nasty cold on Tuesday. I figured she must be teething since her gums were looking very swollen. Later that night (Dave's b-day) I took her temperature to find out it was very high. I gave her some medicine and the poor little thing was just whining all the time. I cleared her nose, she loved that (not) and tried giving her a bottle and she fell as sleep right on me. That never happens so I knew she was not feeling well, I put her in bed hoping that rest was all she needed. She woke up in the middle of the night shivering. I brought her into bed with us (this never happens either, our kids don't sleep with us) She fell as sleep right away. About an hour later she woke up and threw up all over me. I hurried and showered while Dave changed her and I was out the door to the ER with her. Dave stayed home with the kids (I quickly called my mom to be on alert in case Dave needed something... Thank goodness for her and always being able to count on her for anything). The ER was pretty empty but I still had to wait for 2 hours just to see the doctor, then I waiting an additional forty minutes to get some test done, all the while Milli fussing and not sleeping at all. Then we had to get an RSV test done where they basically vacuum out her nose, not so fun, then straight to her some chest X-rays. Milli FREAKED out when I had to hand her over to the X-ray technician. She is attached to me like I have never experienced before (I secretly love it). Then we waited an additional two hours to have the doctor come in and tell me she has bronchilitis and that it was from a virus and an antibiotic would not help. Poor little Mish is still miserable and all she wants is mom. The doctor said this could last from 7-10 days... I just hope she gets feeling better. However, I am enjoying all the cuddling I am getting from her.

Ah...Poor baby (and parents). The ladies @ playgroup were saying that you were at the docts getting her checked out. I've been thinking of her since. I'm glad that she doesn't have RSV. But, sorry in advance for the restless nights ahead. Best wishes.

I hope it goes away faster than 7 to 10 days. Poor thing. Good luck with sleeping.

Oh I'm so sorry she's sick! That is just no fun. Especially when they are just so little. Good luck!

Poor Milli! Well, I have to say I am happy it's not RSV. But I feel so bad that she is miserable. I hope she gets better soon!! Minus the cuddling part! I hope that stays a little while longer!!

Oh! I hope that she gets better soon but that the need for cuddling won't go away. They are so much sickness going around. Evie was sick too for about a week with a fever low at times and really high others but it was just a viral thing so they couldn't give her antibiotics either. She is fine now.

Her hair looks super cute in that picture with those little hair clips.

Poor thing! I hate it when antibiotics won't solve anything and you just have to wait it out! :(
I have a hip-attached child(Lucy) and I complain, but secretly love it too!

Poor Milli. I hate when babies get sick. I feel so bad for them. I hope she gets better and if I can help with anything, let me know.

Poor thing. It is miserable when they are sick. Every once in a while I kind of like it though, because it gives me an excuse to sit and snuggle and watch cartoons all day. I secretly like that my boys are all mamma's boys too. It will be sad when they aren't attached to me any longer. It's already starting a little with Isaac :(
