This is a picture of my darling little girl Leah. She drives me crazy at times but she also makes me so proud when she is kind or helpful or whend I see her be nice to those around her. This picture was taken a while ago (spring or summer). I love her eyes in this picture and her sweet little smile. AND since this is about Leah...The other day she came home from school with the Student of the Week award. How fun! Her note said. "Leah has been selected for the principal's award because Leah is helpful and kind to others. Leah takes her time to do her best work". YAY! I am so proud of her. She has been learning so much and I can see her progress. After my run the other day I came home to this note on the door (see picture below).

Can you tell what it says? Its piled together but this is was it said:

Mom Mylo and Milli

Love Leah

How cute! I was REALLY surprised that she could sound things out and try and write them. I know they have been learning this at school and it she would soon be doing this... its pretty cool that she actually did it. YAY Leah!

Great invitation. Definately frame-able.
I love that "inventive spelling" where the kids sound it out words independantly and write what they hear...without leaning on adult help. It was always my favorite to figure out from my first graders. Always made me smile!
Way to go Leah! She is doing great!
