Last day of school!

AHHH!!! Its the last day of school for Leah. I can't believe it. Her pre-school teacher has been wonderful. Miss Melanie seems to have a true love for her little students. Leah has really enjoyed her and the time at school. Although the other day she said, "I am tired of school, its hard work". I had to laugh a little... but I told her that was her "job for now, that she needs to learn".

Today, the pre-school class put on a show for the parents. Dave, Mylo, Milli and I went to watch Leah. They presented "Goldilocks and The Three Bears". It was really cute. Leah has been talking about it for a few weeks now and this morning she practiced her part to us. She was the mama Bear. During the play she had to "cook" some porridge... it was fun to see her "pretend" and watch them do their lines. The kids also sang a few songs to us and got a "diploma". After the program and goodbyes we celebrated by going to lunch at Fire House Pizzeria with Adelaide, Lily and Tiffany.

The Pre-school class. Leah is in the middle front row.

Mama Bear, Papa Bear (Brandon) and Baby Bear (Bridger)

Singing a song about some fish in a pond

Leah and Miss Melanie. Leah gave her one of the favorite books "Pinkalicious" a long with a gift certificate to get more books.

It has been a joy to watch Leah learn so much this last year. She has been learning to read few words and its really amazing to me how fast she has grown up. I look forward to the years ahead. She is such a fun little girl and very outgoing...not sure where she got that from ;)

Great job Leah. We are proud of you!

she looks like a really cute teacher. There's a lot of kids in that class! Ethan starts preschool in the fall, and I can't wait! I think it will be fun for him, he's definetly ready.

I'm glad she had a good year. Gotta love it.
I can't be bothered changing my name so it's Melissa posting as Dru again.

I bet that the teacher loved having both Leah and Adelaide in her class. I'm glad that she had a great time...it will set her up to be excited for other school years.

I still want to give the book "pinkalicious" a try. Sounds really cute for a girly girl!

FELICITACIONES Leah!. Terminó una etapa muy linda y nutritiva en cuanto a conocimientos y los primeros afectos fuera de la familia y este es el fin del inicio de un largo camino que recién está comenzando!.

I cannot believe Leah is graduating from preschool! It's crazy how quickly they grow. It does not seem that long ago that Leah was a baby visiting us next door in the mortuary. I have so many great memories from that unusual experience we shared. Marcos would wake me up to a beautiful blue-eyed baby girl every Saturday for no reason at all. He was excited to have a baby around. Now she's so big and independent and getting ready to start school in the fall. It's awesome what a great experience she had in preschool. I hope Dylan's is half as good as hers has been.
