A Real Update
I had a doctor's appointment today and it went well. I have continued to maintain my weight, which has been a goal for this pregnancy. Milli has officially "dropped". Last week my uterus measured 38cm and this week 36cm, a big difference when every little bit helps. I am dilated to 3cm but still 25%effaced. Whatever, I am just glad there is some progress there. She did "strip my membrane", I was expecting it to hurt A LOT but it was fine. If that doesn't work to put me into labor then I will be induced Thursday! Ok, I see the light and its getting brighter and brighter by the minute. I am thrilled that Milli will be in my arms very soon. However, I would rather go into labor myself so if you have any suggestions PLEASE suggest! I am open for anything at this point. I have yet to take my last pregnancy picture but it will be up soon. For now that is it... Hopefully next time I post it will be about my wonderful birthing experience. Have a great day!

Families are Forever!
Thank goodness for that great knowledge and blessing! My Grandma from Argentina arrived today with my aunt Maggie from Florida. They will be visiting for the next ten days or so. Today we all got to see them and really had a great time at my mom's house. Sometimes its overwhelming the happiness we can feel when we are all together. I just love my relatives that we don't get to see very often. Its amazing how we can all still be so connected even though we are so far away physically. I feel closer to them and we still get to share life's experiences through this medium. I feel blessed to know that we can all live together forever. Here's a slide show of today... Another great day!

What a great day!
I know I should be complaining because I haven't had my baby but really...
What a great day!
It all started when I was down a full lb. at my doctors appointment this morning. Then we had a get together with some ladies from the ward. What a nice break from the usual lunch time. The kids had a great time and so did I. I was able to get some house work done AND take a nap. Could the day get any better?
Its been forever since I've been able to get together with my girlfriends from my old ward. Only because one of them left us to move to Vegas! We miss you Crissy!!! How fun to get together and catch up on all sorts of things... mostly baby stuff. We have been friends for over 5 years and have had many ups and downs together with each others life struggles. We have been through divorces, miscarriages, moves, callings, babies, and even weddings along the way. Only making us be closer together and learning and appreciating each other more and more. God really knows what we need and He knows WHO we need in our lives. This girls mean the world to me and I love them ALL. They build me up and give me the push to be and do better. Thanks ladies for all your love and support. Can't wait to get together again soon and celebrate more of life's miracles.

Loving the warm weather....
Too bad it only lasted a few days. I know it will come around very soon and we will be wishing for some more coolness... but for now we have had a great time out together. We went to the "Letters Park" (that's what the kids call Five Points Park) last Saturday and had a picnic. The kids were great. Usually we have to fight them to sit and eat but hey must have been starving because they ate all their food before burning off their calories. Leah rode her bike around like a little pro. She was so happy to be able to ride it on the grass and I am sure she will be enjoying rides with her daddy when she gets older. Mylo has become more secure in himself and will do pretty much anything his little legs and arms will allow him to do. He loves the slide and always calls out to let us know he is going down it. Dave doesn't usually come to the park with us because we go while he is at work but we love to have him be there. The kids love to show daddy what they can do and its always fun to just hang out as a family.

Leah... oh so cute!
When I was expecting Leah I had no idea what to expect. When she was born and didn't look ANYTHING like me I was bit disappointed. Then she started to develop a super fun and sparkly personality. She had the bluest eyes and blond hair. People would ask me if she was my child. I would of course proudly say "Yes". We are still so different looking but I just can't believe how cute she has become. She is so fun and I adore her... attitude and all. I know I am her mom and I am particularly fond of my children as any mom would be.
The other day Dave took Leah out with him to play around with his camera and take some fun pictures of her... plus it gave me time to just relax while Mylo took his nap. She is a little poser for sure... and has ALWAYS been ever since she was a little baby. I wonder if Milli will look more like her or Mylo. I love that Dave and Leah got to do something fun for both of them. This is one of my favorite pictures of her form the other day.

I am 37+ Weeks!!!
Yeah I am 37 1/2 weeks! Only 2 1/2 weeks to go!!! This means the time is short at hand when I will get to see Little Milli in my arms. This is very exciting!
I must say that last week I had an appointment which went great. My doctor checked me and said I was almost 2cm dilated and that I was very soft. All great indication that soon labor could come or that I was at least on my way to that. Well, today I had an ultrasound appointment to check how big the baby was. All went very well she is measuring about a week bigger than expected. I was scheduled to have this done because my doctor was/is concerned about the baby's size. Well, apparently this ultrasound, so far in the pregnancy, is not very accurate. It can be + or - a whole lb. They "guesstimated" that she was between 7.15-8.06, so really a good size baby, if accurate. Well, I decided to start labor on my own by using my breast pump to start my contractions and get things moving a long. Contractions came and they were very strong but not super consistent. Regardless, we went to the hospital and got checked and monitored for almost 2 hours. As you can now see I am HOME! Not really how I planned the night to be but... whatever... Milli (and God) have other plans. She is not ready to come into the world yet. As disappointing as that might be, I really am fine with it (or at least I will keep telling myself that). I am SUPER tired from "laboring" all day so I should have a good night sleep, FINALLY! I have been sleeping terribly due to anxiety and nerves of the big day which will soon come. So... there's an update for those that really care. I am still very hopeful that she will come very soon as she can't stay in there forever.

That's what friends are for!
When Nakaya's left us for 4 months we talked of them often and all the fun things we have done with them... mostly some nights at each others houses and sharing fun play dates with the kids. I am so glad they are back.
Thursday night Dru called, I picked up the phone and I was sure he was going to ask for Dave. He says, "Laura, I thought we were friends!" I knew exactly why he was calling. I have mentioned one of our favorite drinks before, Lava Flows. We've had "lava flow nights" a few times with them and Dru really likes them. As a matter of fact he missed the drink more than us when they were in New Zealand. Anyway, we got together an hour later to share some drinks and then we played Guitar Hero on Wii. Dave and I are not quite addicted yet but we are getting there. Dru is not one to play video games when Dave has his buddies over to play but for some reason he was loving it! It was very fun to watch quiet Dru play and "dance" along as he played. I wish I had video but I don't. We also played Wii Bowling and I hate to admit it but I WON! (that NEVER happens). We really love the Nakaya's and we are glad they are back. We will enjoy them as much as possible before they go off to Law School. For now we have these memories to share.

A Day at the Zoo
YEAH!!! Our first day of very warm weather. I knew that the best thing to do was to go to the Zoo... after all no else would be there, since its a school day and no else watches the weather. Yeah right! Are you kidding me?!?!?! The place was packed. There were families with all their pre-school and younger aged children there. I don't remember going to the zoo when it was that crowded. Regardless, it was really fun. The kids love to see the animals and they know where their favorite is. Leah really wanted to see the penguins even though they just sit by the door waiting for someone to let them in. I have yet to see them swim or do anything but stare at the door. Mylo loves the giraffes the best, and I must admit they are one of my favorites. What an awkward body to have yet how beautiful. My favorite was a monkey that was "monkeying" around and yelling. He wasn't doing his usual "OOH OOH AAH AAH", he sounded like a siren, it was pretty fun. Ni, my nephew, loved to see the elephants. There is one that is expecting so that was pretty neat. Poor animal has to be pregnant for almost 2 years! I would die. The white alligator is also pretty fun to see as its pretty rare. It was really fun. (I really didn't get many good pictures, but here are a few).

Mylo in front of the Elephant exhibit. The elephant was eating and then she would shake her body... it was pretty crazy... reminded me of my self. :)

Baby Alex just being as cute as can be with those beautiful blue eyes. He is such a good little baby.

Our Sunday Dinners...
.... Have now become more and more fun! I had mentioned previously about my cute mother-in-law, which I LOVE, wanting a Wii ever since visiting my sis-in-law in CA. Well, she wanted the Wii so she, well, we could all play "Guitar Hero". When she told me that I had to laugh. You have to understand, my mother-in-law, Karen, is always so calm, laid back, she pretty much says, "I suppose" to anything we ask of her. So when she was so interested in this game I thought "What!" I just couldn't picture my in-laws playing a console game at all. We have Sunday dinner over there almost every week and now its just become more fun and funny for all of us. Here they are playing Guitar Hero. Karen, was bobbing her head up and down with each note she had to play, and Al had this face through out the whole song. We all had a good laugh. They are the nicest in-laws one could as for. I LOVE YOU BOTH!!!

Family Night
This past Christmas Guzman's gave us a Family Home Evening chart. It's amazing how much it has helped us. Family Home Evening doesn't have to be too complicated or elaborate. We each take part in it and it really helps us to make special time to play games with each other and share our testimonies as well. Ever since the beginning of the year we have been able to follow this counsel, since the "chart" is at a very common place in our home and we walk by it many, many times a day. This past Monday was really fun. We have been looking for a Wii for Dave's mom, since she likes to play Guitar Hero (that is funny with in itself!)so, we found one for her and decided to get one for us as well. The kids were really excited to play and so were we. That was our activity last Monday. Its so fun to be able to do something as a family. I also think this would be so fun to do and have friends over and "exercise" while we have fun. I love Monday's because we all look forward to spending time with each other and making fun memories with the kids. Here are Leah and Mylo bowling.

Should I or Shouldn't I? That is the question!
Going private with blogs seems to be a big trend among many blogs. I have been thinking about this for some time now and have been considering the idea. I really don't want to but I also don't want to hurt any one with my posts or things I do or say. After all this is my life and I like to live it to the fullest. I found some Cons/Pros as I "surfed" my friends blogs.
Here is a brief list of the reasons not to go privatize vs. going private.
THE CONS
1. I really enjoy the community that is created through blogging. Its fun to share and get ideas from others. Going private wouldn't allow me to do that.
2. I feel like if there is someone who doesn't like what I say or do then their feelings could get hurt or perhaps in return they would hurt my feelings by leaving not so positive comments on my blog.
3. I don't want someone, like my dad, to find my blog and have the privilege of seeing what they are missing out on with my family. Make sense?
4. Some crazy person could get on my blog through someone else's and find out way too much information in regards to my kids and my family... so
THE PROS
1. I value the security of my family and our privacy.
2. I want to be able to blog about whatever comes to mind with out feeling guarded as to who might find my blog or read my deep thoughts. I use my blog as a type of journal so my thoughts, at times are some what personal and I want nothing but positive "vibes" coming to me.
3. I like the idea that if only those I know care about me are going to view my blog then I know I can trust that they will be loyal to me and encourage me to keep trying to be who I want to be... which is, over all, a good person.
4. In some ways I like the idea of controlling who comes and goes... a bit.
I feel that blogging can bring people together. Family, who is spread ALL around the world (as mine) can be in touch and even feel a part of your daily lives through blogging. Friends from a far can be reunited and "rekindled" friendships can help us relive those great times spent together years and years ago. Exchanging ideas on motherhood, parenting, sisterhood, spiritual or not can REALLY help.
Why have you gone private? or Why haven't you?
I really want to know what you think!

Relections of Christ
Tiffany sent me this link to a beautiful video of our Savior. I was so touched by it, that I wanted to share it with those of you who read my blog. The images are truly incredible, inspiring, uplifting and encouraging. We are so lucky to have people that are so talented and willing to share their talents with us. I also feel blessed to know that my Savior lives and that through him all is possible. Its wonderful to know that for ME he was crucified and that through him I can return to my Father in Heaven. I hope you like this as much as I did.
You will have to copy and past the link below on your web browser in order to view the video. I just can't make my "link" work.

Surrounded by great friends!
I love hanging out with some of my darling girl friends. They are all inspiring to me and a big example as mothers and wives. It has been a while since our last Girl's Night, so this was a long time coming. There were several missing but still we had a great time. Its fun to chat about our every day life, struggles, successes, ideas, etc. We went to Fire House Pizzeria in Centerville and also did some shopping as we waited for our table. We had some good laughs, as usual. Its amazing how we can all have so many things in common. I can't wait to do this again soon!
From left to right...Megan, Me, Tris, Emily, Jeanine, Sarah, Adriel and Tiff.
Tris and I are due just about a week apart. We are both expecting girls. Here we are before heading out to our Girl's Night Out.

I'm 35 weeks!!!
WOW! I can't believe how fast time has flown by. All of the sudden I am 35 weeks pregnant. Time seems to be running out with all the things I need to do before the baby's arrival. This weekend my goal is to finish with her room and clothes. So far I have painted and that it! I only have 5 weeks left until my due date and I can't wait! I want to see our baby's face and what she looks like and hold her close and smell her sweet little scent. I just adore newborns, especially when they are mine. I had my doctor's appointment this week and everything looks and sounds great. Milli is growing and so am I! Her heart rate sounded very good and strong. Milli is constantly moving around and is like clock work. She "wakes up" around 10:30 every night and gets the hiccups. Dave and I really love to watch her move around...its "Craaaazzzzyyy" (<-- Like Dru Nakaya would say!)
Here I am at 35 weeks!!!

Fun in the Snow!
Dave has been wanting to take the kids up on the mountain this spring. Today was the day. The weather was perfect and we killed two birds with one stone. Rosi, our friend from Mexico is visiting us this week and she has never before seen the snow, especially this close. We picked Dave up from work and headed up to Brighton. We got the kids in their snowboarding clothes and off we went. Dave took Leah up first while Mylo patiently waited his turn down at the bottom of the lift. Leah loved going on the lift the most. Her and Rosi had a snowball fight and Rosi had a fight with the snow herself as she slipped a couple of times. We had a good laugh. Mylo was impressive since he would get going on his board and take a jump and then keep boarding down. The kid is OBSESSED with anything that has to do with skate boards and snow boards. He is very passionate about that. Here's a few pictures of the kids, Dave and Rosi. I was a the camera person... I also enjoyed falling a couple of times... so fun!!! (you can click on the picture to make it larger, if you wish)
