Very LOOOOONG Nights!
Milli is still a big sleeper during the day and is still very hard to wake up to feed. She just likes to sleep... DURING THE DAY! She has become a bit colicky during 1-5am and is up almost all that time. I know this will soon pass but honestly... can't she be colicky during the day?!?!? She has been sleeping in our room and everything was fine but now she needs me to put her binki in every 2 minutes, I burp her time and time again, I feed her even though she ate 2 hours ago. Then Dave takes a turn at burping her and giving her the binki or rocking her. I give her gas drops and now I have started Gripe water. I am just not sure what is going on with this kid! i know she is eating enough since she is growing just fine. She seems to be very content, at least during the day. To top last night off, Leah woke up at 2am and had thrown-up. So, we had to take care of her and change the sheets and clean up and do laundry in the middle of the night. I thought something she ate had not agreed with her but today she has thrown-up two more times since arriving home from school. She has a slight fever and is SUPER tired. My "nap-time" was spent cleaning up the floor and keeping the kids happy, instead of sleeping. Yeah, for Dave coming home early and helping relieve some of the stress. At least the floors are clean and all three kids are taking a nap right now. I really don't like the colicky stage or having sick kids but I know that is will be over soon. Still I love my life!!! I wouldn't change it for anything... i would only change the very looooong nights!

Arghhh.. I am so not looking forward to that part of motherhood. You are an awesome Mom though Laura, and just remember: this too shall pass!
I remember nights like those... oh wait, we still have them and the culprit is my 4 year old?! I don't even have a baby to blame my sleepless nights on, just Adam and a husband who SNORES so loud!! It sounds like you are doing everything right, just hang in there! She is so cute, I love the blanket that you have her wrapped up in! Is Leah feeling any better?
I'm so sorry Laura. Monica is right it does sound like you're doing everything right and I agree, that blanket is AWESOME!!
I didn't end up needing the stroller. Masaru's staying with his cuzzies.
So how did the doctor's go?
How was last nights sleep. I hope that new water helps out with your nights.
What would we do without our husbands to help out man.
It would be THAT MUCH HARDER to be a mum.
You're wonderful.
You've still got a cute smile... Good luck with the late nights. I don't envy that.
I don't know if you have ever seen the movie "Camelot", but, there is a song in there that sings, "Where are the simple joys of maidenhood." When I read your post I naturally started to sing this to myself. With kids and a hubby life is so much more complicated, but you are right, it is so worth it.
I am so sorry. Long nights are definitely not a highlight of motherhood. But it soon gets better and those darn babies start to smile and coo. How can we feel anything but love towards them now? Those stinkers know just how to melt our hearts so that we'll do anything for them. Heavenly Father knew what he was doing when he gave women nurturing spirits.
Laura, even with almost no sleep, you STILL look fantastic!
OH I am so so sorry. I feel for you. I will come over and hold her for you k. It makes it even worse to pile more sick kids on. I hope everyone else doesn't get sick.
So good to hear from you! Your family is beautiful, and congrats on your new baby. It's tricky in the beginning but I don't think the third is as hard as everyone says.I've never been happier. You look fabulous, but than again you always have. I don't have one memory of you without you looking gorgeous.
Yeah, after reading that I think I'll just stick to two kids! I can't go through that again! Both of my kids were like that. I was so sleep deprived I wanted to shoot myself! I feel your pain!
P.S. we're trying the lava flows tomorrow w/ some friends! They look yummy!
