Black Bean Brownies

Crazy name but really easy to make and GOOD!

Ingredients:

1 Can Black Bean rinsed and drained
1 Box Brownie Mix

Directions:

* Place beans back into can and add water, then puree in blender
* Add pureed bean to brownie mix. Beans replaces the eggs and everything else but the mix.
* Pour batter in greased 9X9 pan
* Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes

I garnished with powder sugar and strawberries. The kids LOVED these brownies and NOBODY could tell that they had beans in them. It lowers the fat TREMENDOUSLY and adds fiber and protein to an already yummy treat. Give it a try and let me know what you think... good or bad, I would love the feedback.

ENJOY!

TIP: When cutting any brownies use a plastic knife so it doesn't stick and "tear" the brownies apart. I am not sure where I learned that but it really works.

(Thanks Karalee for sharing this one with me)

It sounds gross, but looks good. i will have to try them on my husband and see if he can tell the difference.

Hmmm... I'm curious enough to give it a try, but second the comments already made: who thinks of this stuff?! I've used flax seeds and water instead of eggs and oil before, but never heard of this black bean trick.
