Making Cakes = Dirty Hands

Sun + puddle + dirt= too hard to resist!

This little self-proclaimed princess can pretty much get away with ANYTHING around here.  She smiles and blinks her pretty little eyes at me and she keeps doing what she was doing... in this case, making a mess.

I would not have let Leah and Mylo get away with playing with water or dirt, let alone water+dirt.  But, I am trying to be a more 'carefree' mom and not sweat the small stuff.

She was having so much fun, making a cake for me and I love every minute of her playing, happy, by her self, outside in the beautiful sunny weather!

Her happy face makes my heart melt!!!

I've adopted the same attitude. I'm trying to be more "Carefree." She will have fond memories of playing in the mud and dirt, and clothes will wash.... That's my mantra... :) Cute pics!

I'm very proud of you Lau, this is the kinda stuff I did as a kid and she is really loving it.
I think it's great you captured and blogged it as well.
She'll love this later on.

Maybe with my third I will be better about letting them play in the mud too. I just don't want them to get it on their clothes! When we are camping though the rules all change and don't apply.

I love messy kids...as long as they stay outside. I would have let her play in the mud too. So cute!

Good for you, for taking the less stress route. You'll all be better off for it. Too bad our first kids had to have Nazi parents, so the babies could be spoiled! (talking about me, total control freak)

I remember making mud pies as a kid. There is nothing like squishing mud through your fingers!
