A Day at the Zoo

YEAH!!! Our first day of very warm weather. I knew that the best thing to do was to go to the Zoo... after all no else would be there, since its a school day and no else watches the weather. Yeah right! Are you kidding me?!?!?! The place was packed. There were families with all their pre-school and younger aged children there. I don't remember going to the zoo when it was that crowded. Regardless, it was really fun. The kids love to see the animals and they know where their favorite is. Leah really wanted to see the penguins even though they just sit by the door waiting for someone to let them in. I have yet to see them swim or do anything but stare at the door. Mylo loves the giraffes the best, and I must admit they are one of my favorites. What an awkward body to have yet how beautiful. My favorite was a monkey that was "monkeying" around and yelling. He wasn't doing his usual "OOH OOH AAH AAH", he sounded like a siren, it was pretty fun. Ni, my nephew, loved to see the elephants. There is one that is expecting so that was pretty neat. Poor animal has to be pregnant for almost 2 years! I would die. The white alligator is also pretty fun to see as its pretty rare. It was really fun. (I really didn't get many good pictures, but here are a few).

Leah and Mylo playing with the "watery" world

Leah in front of the Elephant exhibit.

Mylo in front of the Elephant exhibit. The elephant was eating and then she would shake her body... it was pretty crazy... reminded me of my self. :)

Mylo and Ni playing as they waited for the train ride.

Baby Alex just being as cute as can be with those beautiful blue eyes. He is such a good little baby.

How fun! We haven't been to the zoo for so long, but I'd love to take the kids again this summer. There is a tiny one in Logan, but it doesn't really count. It looks like you guys had fun, and today was such a beautiful day!

That sounds like so much fun. I think that benjamin would love looking at the animals. We are going to have to do that for sure.

I'm glad you guys had fun. I'm glad the day was nice too. That's important.

We went a couple of weeks ago and it was crazy! The girls also loved the penguin exhibit until they figured out that the penguins were teaching them about procreation. We all left giggling and a little embarrassed.

1st and most important, did you get the kettle corn? Kettle corn is a must have at the zoo, it is the reason I renewed my seasons pass. 2nd and slightly less important, I think the white alligator is a big rubber toy. No kidding, I have NEVER seen the thing move. The reason it is really rare is because it is really fake. I am glad y'all had a great time. We love the zoo and actually saw Robyn there when we went, not last time, but the time before. Hooray for lazy animals who are being punished by living in small cramped spaces.

What fun! We need more warm days like that. #1-so that we can get out of the house, #2-so that people can spread out and not head to the zoo ALL on the same day.
