My Poor Milli....

My (our) poor Milli has pneumonia :( She has been coughing for over 48hrs, every five minutes. Needless to say, she has had a rough day. I took her to the doctor this morning and it was a loooong visit. Milli does NOT take medicine well AT ALL, so we opted to give her an antibiotic shot. It was very big and it stings. She did not like it but she spent the rest of the day in and out of sleep. She has been laying on the couch and all she wants is to cuddle (not complaining about that:)). I just want her to get better and be back to herself before baby brother gets here! I know she is going to get better soon, but the morning seems so far away right now. Its going to be a long night for all of us (Milli, Dave and I).

*** UPDATE *** Milli is doing SO much better today (6/12/10) Her fever has been a low grade fever and she has been more herself than yesterday. Her sleep is back on track. I know she will continue to get better :)

A new toy!!!!

I got a new toy!!! We have been having a lot of fun with it. I had a way crappy computer and now I am the proud new owner of a MacBook Pro :) YAY!!! This is one of our first pictures taken with the photo booth app. :) Doesn't he look cute as a button?

LEGO HEAVEN!!!!

Aunt Sarah gave us a play table that was PERFECT for Lego's. They have been in Lego Heaven ever since. It is so nice to see them play together for HOURS at a time. As much as I hate the Lego mess, I LOOOOVE the time spent together building things :). Instead of wanting to watch TV or play their DS' they want to play Lego's and build things. They have since destroyed these "houses" and made new ones. The houses are not just four wall houses, rather they have beds and a kitchen and some even have a living room. Leah's house had two hot tubs at one point... the girl knows what she wants :) Mylo will often make the cutest little "mouses" and will sleep with them or put them in a newly build cage. I love that they are using their creativity!

A Quick Bath for Milli

The other day after checking on the kiddos I found Milli, literally red-handed up to her wrists from her strawberry snow cone. Not what I wanted to find... but whatever, I let her eat it, right? So I had to deal with the consequences. Her brand new white shirt was also red :] and she was very sticky. I hurried and stripped her down and gave her a bath in the sink!

Milli loved it! It was super quick and I might just do it all the time now. It was so much better than the back-breaking bathtub baths. She was all "white" again and so was her shirt. I did learn one lesson... It doesn't matter if she gets dirty, after all she had a great time and the mess was a quick clean.

Last Day of School!!!

Today is the last day of school... YAY!!!! Leah is moving on to second grade... YAY!!! Mrs. Francis was a great teacher for Leah. Leah really enjoyed her and she really learned A LOT from her. Leah made some great friends at school this year and that was a lot of fun to watch as well. (Tatum is not pictured... but she became one of Leah's favorite buddies from school and soccer).

Yesterday I took the kids and Adelaide to get an early "school is out!" treat. We got our first snowcones of the year!!! YAY!

That means that 1. summer is pretty much here, and 2. its time to have fun!!! Leah and Adelaide were very cute eating their treats all "girly"... they are darling girls! (silly girls!)

Mylo and Milli were not left out of the festivities. They too had a treat and Milli wore it rather than ate it! When I went back outside to check on them her hands were red up to her wrists! More pics of that later :)

I am so happy that school is out!!! No more lunches to be made. No more homework arguements. No more "what are you wearing tomorrow?" (although I will probably still do that some). No more "hurry up, you're gonna be late!" Oh this is a great day!!!

Milli LOVES to do her makeup

Leah has pretend make up that she actually uses when getting ready for church (I love having girly girls that can totally still hang with the boys). Leah is actually pretty good about it and its really super light and "natural" looking. Well, the other day Milli was found on the kitchen table with all of Leah's pretend makeup all over herself. She looks very happy with it on, doesn't she?

EVERY SINGLE DAY, while I am getting ready Milli will ask for "li tick" and I am such a nice mom that I will just give her what she wants. Usually its just chap stick while I do her hair but this time she climbed on the counter in the bathroom, after carefully placing the stool in it appropriate spot and snuck Leah's makeup without us noticing. Little stinker! But a pretty stinker :)

Leah and Mason

Leah and Mason are 6 months and 11 days apart. From the time they were very little babies they had some sort of bond that was not at all forced by either Amy or I. They just really liked each other and always played so nicely together. Leah is assertive and dramatic and Mason is cool and laid back, perhaps that is why they get along so well. The truth is that these two have always been good buddies and I think their friendship will always be that way (at least i hope). We love Mason ... what's not to love about this little stinker? I have a picture (somewhere) of Leah and mason when they were maybe three years old that looks a lot like this one. They are like two peas in a pod!
